The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas
The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas is a great book and I would recommend it to everybody. It shows me how lucky I am to live in a safe country. This book depicts what it was like during World War 2 and the pressures and tragedies faced by parents and also the kids. This book is about a family who moves away from their home for their fathers work. When he leaves his home and arrives at his new home he is automatically homesick. Bruno;s parents will never let him explore but boredom overcomes him so he follows a fence from his house and finds a boy and Bruno straight away thinks a friend. Everyday they meet and talk and one day Bruno climbs under the fence to explore his new friend Shmuel's world where he is gassed and dies.
